The Trust will continue to investigate and consider the
possibility of joint ventures with various businesses and
organisations, in accordance with the Vision, Mission Statement,
Goals and Objectives of the Māori Education Trust.
On the 20th of March 2004 the Māori Education Trust was among the key sponsors involved in bringing about the Māori Media Awards in Rotorua. The Māori Media Awards recognised the achievements of Māori radio and awarded key people for their excellence.

Te Roopu Awhina Putaiao consists of senior undergraduate and postgraduate Māori and Pacific students at Victoria University, who act as mentors and ensure students, especially those in their first year of study, receive the support they require in an effective way.
